HEN neighbors at our annual holiday gathering.

Join HEN 

We invite all our neighbors, homeowners and renters alike, to join our association. While everyone is welcome to participate in all HEN events and meetings, joining the association allows you to have voice during HEN elections. Membership dues also help cover the cost of public flowerbeds, our historic street signs, and other neighborhood necessities. 

Dues are $25 per individual or $50 per household and can be paid at the next neighborhood event. You may make your dues donation securely via PayPal using the button below:

How You Can Get Involved

Building a strong community of neighbors is important. Historic Edgefield Neighbors offers many fun opportunities to engage with others living in your community, have your voice heard on matters facing Edgefield and the city, and maintain the integrity of our diverse, historic neighborhood.
  • Attend our quarterly neighborhood meetings for updates on zoning, safety, and other civic matters
  • Come out to one of our neighborhood socials to meet your neighbors and support our local businesses
  • Become a block captain or join a committee to help shape neighborhood development and promote community engagement

Beautification: focuses on plantings at entrances, street signs, clean-up days, etc.

Events and Outreach: plans and manages neighborhood events and communication



A Look at All the Ways HEN Engages Our Community:

  • Gather quarterly for community meetings or events
  • Hold regular board meetings
  • Communicate with all residents through Facebook, a listserv, gatherings, and our website in an effort to reach all our neighbors 
  • Hold special fundraisers, like home and/or garden tours
  • Support neighborhood watch and crime prevention meetings to foster a safer neighborhood
  • ​Sponsor the students and teachers at Warner Elementary School and Land Between the Lakes Camp
  • Actively participate in Rediscover East! and other community development efforts
  • Host neighborhood beautification events, such as planting trees at Warner School, alley cleanups, and landscaping of key neighborhood locations
