Join us for Historic Edgefield’s Second Annual Jane’s Walk, a neighborhood-led walking conversation inspired by Jane Jacobs. On the first weekend of May every year, Jane’s Walks take place in hundreds of cities around the world. The Walks encourage people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and connect with their neighbors.
This year's walk will focus on Fatherland Street and be led by Jim Hoobler. Jim has lived in our neighborhood for forty years and has fifty years of experience researching and preserving Tennessee history, art, and culture.
Did you know that Edgefield was once a city? Have you ever walked down Society Alley? Have you seen the terracotta dragons?
Join us to learn all of this and more. This will be a great opportunity to explore Historic Edgefield neighborhood and to connect with your neighbors.
